Bring us the problem no product was built for.
NordicAI Labs is where we take on the hardest challenges for humans and the planet: a habitat on Mars, a factory in Antarctica, a microgrid at the edge of the map. If our products do not fit, we develop a custom approach with experts who know your domain.

Products first, custom when needed
When the shelf runs out, we build.
We have a growing family of products, from Bifröst.SI and Norns.SI to MalmStoff.SI, Logi.SI and Heimdall.SI. Most problems fit one of them, and we will tell you so.
Some do not. Some environments have no precedent, no training data and no margin for error. Those come to Labs, where we design the models, simulation, hardware and safeguards around your problem instead of forcing it into ours.
The kind of problems that come to Labs.
Illustrative environments where standard software stops working. Yours may be different. That is the point.
Mars and off-world
Habitats and surface operations
A crewed outpost cannot call home for help. Messages take minutes, resupply takes years, and every system has to keep running on its own and fail safely.
- Minutes of communication delay
- Closed-loop life support and power
- Repair with what is on site
Antarctica and polar regions
Manufacturing at the end of the supply line
Making and repairing parts at a remote station means extreme cold, scarce energy and no spare factory. We design production that adapts to what is available and tells you when it is drifting.
- Extreme cold and limited power
- Months between deliveries
- Few specialists on site
Deep sea and subsea
Autonomy under pressure
Inspection, maintenance and intervention far below the surface, where bandwidth is thin and a mistake can cost a vessel or a season.
- Low-bandwidth, high-latency links
- Corrosive, high-pressure conditions
- No second chance to retrieve equipment
Off-grid and remote energy
Microgrids that run themselves
Islands, mines and arctic communities with their own generation and storage. We build controllers that balance supply and demand without a control room.
- Variable renewable supply
- Weak or no grid connection
- Operators who are far away
Orbit and in-space
Making things where there is no factory
In-space assembly and manufacturing, where gravity, heat and vacuum change how materials and machines behave, and where testing on the ground only gets you so far.
- Vacuum, radiation and thermal swings
- Almost no real-world test data
- Hardware that cannot be touched
Hazardous sites
Work people should not have to do
Nuclear decommissioning, disaster response and contaminated ground. Machines do the dangerous work while people stay in command from a safe distance.
- Environments that damage electronics
- Rare, high-stakes decisions
- Strict safety and audit demands
From “it cannot be done” to running.
- 1
We check our products first
Many hard problems fit something we already run. If Bifröst.SI, Norns.SI, MalmStoff.SI or another product covers it, we say so and you save the cost of building new.
- 2
If nothing fits, we design for you
We assemble a small team of domain experts, Physical AI engineers and, where needed, hardware and sensor specialists, and write down what success, safety and failure mean for your environment.
- 3
We rehearse where mistakes are free
We build the digital twin and the synthetic scenarios that cover the cases you cannot afford to meet for the first time in the field.
- 4
We prove it, then hand it over
Supervised trials on real equipment with clear stop conditions, then a system, data and know-how your own team can operate without us.
How we approach hard problems.
Start from the physics and the people
Human-centric by design. We learn what the operators, crews and engineers need before we choose a model.
Domain experts, not generalists
Each engagement is staffed with people who know your vertical, from polar logistics to space systems to heavy industry.
Humans stay in command
Authority levels, safe fallbacks and a person able to take over at every step, even when that person is a long way away.
A future where people, AI and the planet thrive together
We take the problems that matter for how humans live and work in hard places, and for the planet they depend on.
Have a problem that has resisted every other approach?
Tell us about it. We will say plainly whether one of our products fits, or what a custom approach and a first proof would look like.
